The Exit 8 Movie Adaptation to Screen at Cannes Film Festival

The live action film adaptation of KOTAKE CREATE’s video game The Exit 8 will be screening at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in May. The film is directed by Genki Kawamura and stars Kazunari Ninomiya, who played the role of Koro-Sensei in the live action Assassination Classroom movies and Kei Kurono in the Gantz live action films from 2010.

The movie is an adaptation of the popular The Exit 8 video game that has you trying to find your way out of an endlessly looping underground train station corridor as unsettling anomalies begin to occur. The game received a sequel in May of last year titled Platform 8 that similarly saw players attempting to get off a train that refuses to stop

The Exit 8 movie is due to release in Japan later this year on the 29th of August.
