Digimon Ghost Game English Dub Potentially Coming to UK Later This Year

The Digimon Ghost Game English dub may see a release soon as JLOX+ (Japan Content Localization and Business Transformation Plus) log work on 33 episodes.

While not officially announced yet, a post on Digimon fan site withthewill noticed that Japanese content development company JLOX+ have listed on their website the translation of 33 episodes of Digimon Ghost Game for broadcast within the UK. JLOX+ is a subsidy program of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to provide translations and promotion of Japanese content worldwide.

Now locked behind a login wall, the listing on their website specified that they had worked on translation of 33 episodes of the series. It’s currently unclear if this is signifying that only 33 episodes of the series have been worked on or if the government grant for the project only covered 33 episodes, with the rest progressing without their support.

The website also states that this was to be released in the UK and Ireland before the end of the year. This could potentially hint at a BBC broadcast or release via the BBC iPlayer as the BBC have been bringing more anime to their platforms since 2022 when they were the first to release the English dub of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.

The website also provided a single screenshot of the English language credits but beyond this, not much else has been revealed regarding the Digimon Ghost Game English dub. News of the dub entering pre-production initially came in 2023 before going dark.

The last official UK release of Digimon content was the 2020 Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna movie coming to blu-ray. Since then an Adventure 02 movie has released overseas but is still yet to hit UK shores.

The official subtitled version of Digimon Ghost Game is available to stream via Crunchyroll.
