New Kamen Rider Series Trademark Registered as Kamen Rider Zeztz

Now that the currently airing Kamen Rider Gavv has hit the halfway point, Toei have taken steps to trademark the next title.

The new season is titled "Kamen Rider Zeztz" and will be the 7th entry into the Reiwa era of Kamen Rider and the 36th overall. Little else is known but rumors for the coming season are that it will be ninja themed.

This marks the first time that a Kamen Rider series in the Reiwa era has been trademarked in March. Saber, Revice, Geats and Gotchard were all registered in May, with Gavv pulling forward to April alongside Reiwa starter Zero-One. This earlier trademark for Gavv also coincided with an accelerated shooting schedule to comply with censorship laws in China. With a focus on simulcasting in China, Kamen Rider shooting schedules now sits six months ahead of airing.

Kamen Rider Gavv began filming in March of 2024 and fans got their first look at hero Shoma in the Kamen Rider Gotchard summer movie where the snack themed hero appeared briefly. Sticking with a change of expectation, Gavv also skipped having a winter movie in 2024 like Gotchard before it. The first time fans will get to see Gavv on the big screen will be in the upcoming summer movie released alongside a No.1 Sentai Gozyuger movie.

Fans wanting to know more about Zeztz may not have to wait long though, as Kamen Rider has a tradition of featuring an upcoming Rider in the summer movie of the season that came before. This is likely to mean that our first viewing of Zeztz will be in the upcoming Gavv movie as the series winds down to a close.
