DC and Legendary Comics have revealed more information about the upcoming sequel to the bestselling Justice League Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong.
The seven issue sequel series will see writer Brian Buccellato and artist Christian Duce return to tell a story set within the monsterverse this time. The sequel is set to see Task Force X create their own hybrid titans in an attempt to protect the Earth from any other titan incidents following the events of the first series.
In an attempt to stop Task Force X from creating hybrid titans, the justice league will be travelling to the monsterverse and fighting new threats. The series will see members of the team turning into titans themselves the even the odds against other kaiju.
The series is also set to have an appearance from Colonel Lee Shaw, who first appeared in the 2014 Godzilla: Awakening comic. The character was later upgraded to an on screen lead in the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters where father and son due Kurt and Wyatt Russell represented him.
The Monarch TV series conflicted with the events of the Godzilla: Awakening, leading us to wonder what version of Shaw this will be and what version of the monsterverse the events of this upcoming series will take place in.
Justice League Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong 2 will go on sale on the 4th of June.
