The latest advert for Ultraman Arc The Movie: The Clash of Light and Evil has revealed more plot details of the upcoming feature.
The new promo shows that Ultraman Arc will be fighting a dark version of himself known as Guil Arc and will even get emotional in the movie events, as Ultraman Arc was seen shedding a tear in the trailer.
The movie will be
scripted by series head writer Jun Tsugita and directed by the series
main director Takanori Tsujimoto. The episode is set to take place
between main series episodes 21 and 22, having been referenced in the
Ultraman Arc Special Recap Episode 3 as Ichiro Nakamura expressed “My
memory of that period is kind of fuzzy” to not spoil the events of
the upcoming film.
The English release for the title is still yet unknown. While the main series enjoyed weekly episode releases online in both official subbed and dubbed formats, the Ultraman Series Movies have not seen worldwide digital releases.
Last years Ultraman Blazar The Movie: Tokyo Kaiju Showdown saw English speaking audiences having to wait until end of year to get their hands on a copy of the movie included in the series American Blu-Ray release.
For many viewers, this left the movie inaccessible outside of the United States and meant audiences were already beginning Ultraman Arc before being able to see the film that had released in Japan 9 months prior.
It’s still unknown when and how the Ultraman Arc movie will release in English territories but we can be thankful to have access at all, especially with free weekly episodes popping up on Youtube in both sub and dub formats.
You can see the new teaser for Ultraman Arc The Movie: The Clash of Light and Evil below. The movie will be releasing in Japan on February 21st.
